School Days

Thrive is proud to offer a variety of programs that meet the developmental needs of the students in our care.  We believe that it is the quality of intervention programming, rather than the quantity of programming that makes a difference.  Whether a young learner is neurodiverse or neurotypical, the school-life balance between structured intervention and time to engage in home/community based activities is important.  We believe in an interdisciplinary approach where educators partner with related service experts to create a play-based intervention which affords our little thrivers the opportunity to learn through exploration and discovery under the guidance of our expert care team members.

RELATED SERVICES:

Thrive has a team of related service experts ready to provide therapy for your child as early as 18 months of age.  We provide diagnostical speech and occupational therapy assessments to determine needed goal areas prior to beginning weekly therapy sessions, and have options for weekly therapy that fits your family’s schedule. Classroom offerings

2’s Classes:

We recommend that children beginning services at 2 years begin with a modified program schedule and build to the full therapy schedule as they acclimate to the intervention routine.  Speech and Occupational therapy are optional interventions which can be added into the child’s scheduled school day. As partners with our caregivers we rely on the family to select the best fit from one of the following options:

2 days per week / 3 hours per day

3 days per week / 2 hours per day

3’s & 4’s Classes:

This comprehensive program includes weekly speech and occupational therapy embedded into the child’s school day. Practitioners work together to build language and motor enriched programming into a student’s care plan.  Children have access to learning programs in both the 1:1 and small group teaching setting. Children spend a portion of each day in our “classroom model” which includes circle time, centers, craft, sensory exploration, fine motor table and dramatic play. Gross motor play in our gym or outdoor space is also an integral part of our day.  Programming is open enrollment and is provided year round.  We have the following options:

Morning Sessions: M-TH / 9am- 12pm.

Afternoon Sessions: M-TH / 12:30pm-3:30pm

Young 5’s:

Our young 5’s program is structured identically to our 3’s & 4’s class, with the option to move from half day programming to full day programming in preparation for kindergarten.  Students who participate in full day programming participate in a daily lunch bunch and leisure period where we are able to further provide social instruction during this less structured time of day.  Our 1/2 day 5’s class is offered during the morning session-as to provide opportunity for afternoon extension.

Morning Sessions: M-TH / 9am-12pm

Full Day Sessions: M-TH / 9am-3:30pm
