School Days
Thrive is proud to offer a variety of programs that meet the developmental needs of the students in our care. We believe that it is the quality of intervention programming, rather than the quantity of programming that makes a difference. We believe that the school-life balance between structured intervention and time to engage in home/community based activities is important. We believe in an interdisciplinary approach where educators partner with related service experts to create naturalized intervention which affords our little thrivers the opportunity to learn through discovery under the guidance of our expert care team members.
Classroom offerings
Early Intervention Classes (2 years old):
We recommend that children enrolling in services at 2 years begin with a modified program schedule and build to the full therapy schedule as they acclimate to the intervention routine. Speech and Occupational therapy are optional interventions which can be added into the child’s scheduled school day. As partners with our caregivers we rely on the family to select the best fit from one of the following options:
2 days per week / 3 hours per day
3 days per week / 2 hours per day
Early Childhood Classes (3’s, 4’s & 5’s):
This comprehensive program includes weekly speech and occupational therapy embedded into the child’s school day. Practitioners work together to build language and motor enriched programming into a student’s care plan. Children have access to learning programs in both the 1:1 and small group teaching setting. Children spend a portion of each day in our “classroom model” which includes circle time, teacher table, math & literacy based centers, craft, sensory exploration, fine motor table and dramatic play. Incorporating gross motor activities is also an integral part of our day. Programming is open enrollment and is provided year round. We have the following options:
Morning Sessions: M-TH / 9am- 12pm.
Afternoon Sessions: M-TH / 12:45pm-3:45pm
Primary Classrooms:
Thrive is THRILLED to announce the expansion of our services to now provide full day programming for children in kindergarten, first and second grade. Our primary classrooms are an extension of our comprehensive early childhood program. Our curriculum is designed to meet each of our learners at their independent instructional levels and our low student to staff ratios make sure each student receives the specialized attention they deserve from our expert level teaching staff. Similar to our Early Childhood Program, students enrolled in one of our primary programs will receive speech, OT and BCBA services embedded into their school day. This interdisciplinary approach is a hallmark to our instruction and provides maximum benefit to our learners. Our Primary Classroom operates full day on a traditional school calendar with an additional extended school year option.
